Dr. Les Levidow

LevidowL_0Les Levidow is a Senior Research Fellow at the Open University, UK, where he has been studying agri-environmental issues of technoscientific innovation since the late 1980s.  Case studies have included: agbiotech, the bioeconomy, bioenergy, alternative food networks, agroecology and green economy.   He participates in the core expert group of Technology Platform Organics.  As well as numerous articles, he is co-author of two books:  Governing the Transatlantic Conflict over Agricultural Biotechnology: Contending Coalitions, Trade Liberalisation and Standard Setting (Routledge, 2006); and GM Food on Trial: Testing European Democracy (Routledge, 2010).  He is editor of the journal Science as Culture.
